Sambo to contest 2015 poll with Jonathan –PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that as a part of a winning team, the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, would contest the 2015 presidential election with President Goodluck Jonathan.
The new position of the party on the fate of the Vice President was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh.
Metuh had on Sunday at a press conference held at the PDP National Secretariat in response to a question on the fate of the Vice President said only President Goodluck Jonathan holds the key to Vice President Sambo’s second term in office.

On Sunday at the press conference, Metuh gave an impression that only President Goodluck can determine the fate of his Vice when he responded to reporter’s inquest saying “I believe a lot of people are trying to make speculations. Why don’t we wait until when the president accepts the nomination before such issues are highlighted? But I must inform that PDP has said that it is a winning team.”
