Relationships: Cheater David Lucado banned from contacting Britney Spears

Britney Spears has decided to end all contact with ex-boyfriend David Lucado after 18-months together.

David cheated with another woman and the incident was caught on tape. His rep told TMZ, “David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out.” And he’s reportedly desperate to speak with Britney, explain the cheating, and work things out. However, Team Britney has closed ranks. He’s not welcome at her Vegas show, her home, and they’ve blocked his phone number.

David is reportedly telling friends they were on a break when the flirtation happened. He insists they were not “100% together” when he danced closely with and kissed another woman in an incident caught on video. The copyrights to the video have since been purchased by Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who bought it and showed it to the singer as proof of David’s indiscretion.

Britney immediately announced her new relationship status on Twitter, writing “Ahhhh the single life!” With her rep telling PEOPLE “Yes, she’s single”. Britney did not, however, inform David directly that she had ended the relationship. So he presumably learned about it from the media.

In other news, it would appear that Britney or whomever is managing her Instagram account has removed all recent photos of David.

As recently as Friday evening, there were photos of the couple together along with David and her children. This weekend, however, all those photos are not available from her main page.
