Convicted Murderers Escaped Maximum Security Prison Thanks To Their Insane Shawshank Redemption-Inspired Plan!

This is such an unbelievable story!

Two prisoners from escaped from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York in a scheme that seems like it's straight from the movies.

In fact, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo actually said that 49-year-old Richard Matt and 35-year-old David Sweat's escape was more intense than any fictional prison break he's ever seen!
Apparently, the two convicted murderers were inspired by Shawshank Redemption when they used power tools to cut through two walls, two pipes, and a chain-locked manhole early Saturday morning... Wow.

Plus, they took a play straight out of cartoons by putting makeshift dummies in their beds as to not raise suspicions while they booked it.

And as if their escape wasn't startling enough -- the pair left behind a rather racially charged note for the guards:

Just rude.
No one at the correctional facility is sure how the pair, who shared adjoining cells, got their hands on the tools, but there is some chatter that it could be an inside job since no one has ever broken out of Clinton in its 170-year history!
New York State Police are currently scowering three separate counties upstate, so please, if you're anywhere near Dannemora, stay safe!
